2 July 2018 – Suntec Singapore and Procter & Gamble organised the Singapore Armed Forces Day Combined Rededication Ceremony 2018 for the CBD/South Zone this morning. The event was officiated by Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Home Affairs, Josephine Teo at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

A robust military defence force is vital to Singapore’s continued success, survival and progress. Suntec Singapore recognises the importance and contributions of the men and women in uniform protecting our nation every day.

Suntec Singapore CEO Arun Madhok said, “It is our pleasure, our duty and our privilege to show our support for the SAF and to show our appreciation for the men and women in uniform. We recognise the contributions of our National Servicemen and their dedication to ensuring the continued peace and prosperity of our Nation.”

The event also celebrates RSAF50 with a look back at their outstanding achievements over the years through specially curated banners that were on display.

Previously Suntec Singapore had also hosted the NS50 art exhibition at the Centre. The tribute to Singapore’s National Servicemen past and present organised by the Singapore Art Society showcased 60 art pieces produced by 50 local artists. The artists were challenged to express the day-to-day lives of our National Servicemen and to capture the essence of National Service; as a legacy to be handed “From My Generation To Yours”.

This is the first year that Suntec Singapore has organised the Combined Rededication Ceremony for the CBD/South Zone. The event was attended by over 200 guests from more than 30 participating companies in the vicinity.
